Living together in Newport on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, brother and sister Angus and Julia Stone, are making waves with their music.
Music with grace… music that says a lot without trying to.
With a busy year of touring behind them, supporting Australian roots/blues act ‘The Beautiful Girls,’ followed by a crazy and spectacular tour with the cult favorites ‘The Goons of Doom,’ ‘Angus and Julia Stone’ are turning heads throughout the music industry. With rapidly growing popularity, playing venues all over Sydney, including supports for touring artists, ‘The Fumes’ and ‘Ash Grunwald’ and playing the celebrated ‘Peats Ridge Festival’ the pair are an exciting upcoming act to look out for. Growing up, listening to music, and then traveling through South America together, were all foundations for the musical experience of ‘Angus and Julia Stone’. Their music has been compared to such artists as ‘Damien Rice,’- a pure sound that captures the freedom, fear and beauty of life in a musically clear and simple way. The music is uplifting, with a great energy that is supported by an amazing band, Mitchell Connelly on drums (The Beautiful Girls) and Matty Woo on bass (the Search for Delta Nine).
