EDU VALK (alias Dr Goodvibe) is a unique and diverse singer songwriter whose philosophical and often satirical commentary on life openly elucidates his heart. The eternal optimist, EDU's music is raw, honest and uplifting, with comparisons as diverse as Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Bob Dylan and JJ Cale, just to name a few.
CHRISTIAN MARSH is one of Australias finest harmonica players, he is sponsored by HONER and adds a very distinctive sound to the music with his horn-style solos and smooth jazz instrumentals. Once heard his inspirational playing style will never be forgotten. Chris has won the National Harmonica competition 3 times and now hosts the event.
The 'Dr Goodvibe' sound evolved during the recording of the first album, which started out as a solo album by EDU. 'Dr Goodvibe' was originally the name of this album however, such a distinctive sound was created by the amazing harmonica playing of CHRISTIAN MARSH and the beautiful backing vocals of MERCEDES, (both good friends of Edu), that the 'Doctor' was brought to life.
The music is timeless and uplifting. It travels a journey from acoustic soul, through funk to reggae and back again, leaving you with the heartfelt simplicity of 'Simple Things'. |
