He's done it all folks! First it was punk with the Smokey Murder Sticks, then it was Progressive Jazz with Progressive Jazz, all the while it was hip hop with the ORG. Then it was a celtic duo in Montreal with Greg Brophy, and over this whole time he's been playing classical guitar, and very often some death metal. His idea is to be original and to play his guitar like he's seducing it : slowly and with tasteful but not overdone licks.
As there are enough people out there telling stories as they strum their guitars, Brian chooses to finger pick and use his instument like an orchestra, using his voice mainly for the melody.
He likes to think of his style as something between jazz, folk, and progressive music. |
