Roz Pappalardo has a secret. The women in docs singer/guitarist, has another pair of boots. With spurs. When shes not on the road as her women in docs, folky festival favourite alter-ego, she indulges her inner cowgirl with a good and simple alt. country side-project. Roz released her debut solo full length album, This Lifeboat, September 2009, to fabulous reviews and immediate airplay on national and community radio stations across Australia including of course, ABC and JJJ. The album became a fixture on AAAs All Australian Country Charts during September and October, 2009. The filmclip to the records opening single, I Say Fall has been aired extensively on Foxtels Country Music Channel (CMC) and ABC TVs Rage.Drawing on influences ranging from Lucinda Williams to Ryan Adams, Roz as a solo act melds her effusive stage presence and endearing songwriting with some good honest country style secret herbs and spices.
The Loose Tongues
A rock band from the Northern Beaches which formed in 2008 and is made up of mates who have played in various bands together for a number of years. The band's objective is to create some energetic original Aussie music that is passionate, exciting and fun to play. We like to think we have a fairly unique sound, with songs that speak of where we're from and where we're going. And also there's still a lot to be said for an honest rock song that engages the crowd, so that's the goal really. We just want to have a good time, play some great gigs and entertain the audience so hopefully they'll enjoy it
as much as we do.
