Josh Overett
Having mucked around on various instruments since being born in South Africa, it was only on arriving in Sydney 9 years ago that he started crafting his own songs. They tend to mix folk with country and blues but almost always carry a message and probably a subtle joke or two. His CD "The Amicability of Misunderstanding" has sold out so he is working on a new CD but there are some MP3's on his myspace/josh_folk site by "Maxwell and the Taliband", which is him of course. In the last few years he has used a pedal to loop vocal harmonys and beats as a backing instead of guitar allowing him to play various instruments at the same time without hiring extra misicians or roadies.
Dani Carr
Sydney based singer songwriter who has been generating a huge amount of interest.Dani has performed to sell out crowds at the Basement and has U.S. promoters keen to have Dani embark on a national tour. His unique mix of acoustic pop rock tunes have been likened to the sounds of James Taylor and John Mayer. Dani has performed on Channel 10 with Tim Bailey and watch this man's space for much bigger things to come
The Art of Grace
The Art of Grace was the result a fortunate accident. The male/female duo combined when singer-songwriter TJ Power (formerly: Destonia Talent Development Project, WAAPA,) needed extra sound for his solo EP launch in August 2009. Kathryn Sgroi (WAAPA, CATS Australian/Asian tour) stepped in and the response to this new combination made it clear that this was the sound the music needed. From this simple beginning they have continuously strengthened and exceeded expectations with their sing along melodies, graceful harmonies, and gripping honesty. This pop/folk/rock outfit, whether backed by a band or bare to the bone, have a unique talent for making an audience say "Ah, that's just what it feels like," and are not to be missed.
Sarah Reeve
A n original soul/blues band from Sydney, was formed in 2009 by singer//pianist/songwriter Sarah Reeve, guitarist/songwriter Kye Gratton and drummer/songwriter Ronan McCormick. Seasoned and international performers, they have major labels offering record deals and have audiences on their feet. They perform original and refreshing upbeat to slow sensual tunes
