Ross Brain
After slinking around the rich Manly music scene for many years – popping up occasionally on an available microphone to do guest vocals, or squeezing in a single song between sets (amongst the likes of Aaron Huston, Jeff Stanley and Mark Budd). After years of simply attending Songwriters Live (even since its early incarnation at a different pub across the Corso and on a Thursday night) as a punter, and slinking back down to the Boatshed to hear a certain Canadian and a certain Kiwi. After receiving ongoing praise for his songwriting in regular appearances at Desire Books and other open mic nights, as well as in backyards and on balconies, the elusive and enigmatic figure that is Ross Brain, has accepted the opportunity to slink onto the Sonwriters Live stage at Manly Boatshed to give his usual combination of humour, honesty, lateral thinking and melody
Adrian Joseph
At the age of 20, Adrian took to the stage and has been playing to crowds big and small ever since. Over the past 6 years Adrian has performed at a variety of events and venues ranging from Pubs Clubs and Bars, Restaurants and Cafes, Weddings, Engagements, Parties and Corporate events such as The Manly Sea Eagles pre season launch. The past 5 years has seen Adrian working tirelessly on his original material. Taking to the streets of Sydney City and Manly, he busks regularly and has been able to treat the public’s ears to the sounds of his original songs. He is currently working on his first official EP which will be released late 2015.
Heath Nicholson
He has toured nationally and internationally, appeared on TV & radio with artists: Celine Dion, Jim Conway, Joshua Kadison, Ian Moss, Southbound, Lior, Equals Three, MOFO and FreeRide. “I’ve been privileged to have played countless live gigs and enjoyed being a workshop and private Guitar teacher for over 17 years. So after so many years of playing other artists songs I’m keen to explore my own songs and see where I can take them.”
Dande and The Lion

His unique voice and laid back personality shows through in his beachy Indy folk music which began in his Nan’s laundry as a way of relaxing. Blake had only sung around the campfire on surfing trips with his mates before doing a couple of fundraisers at his local hotel before he began to rise and this week is our chance to hear him as he delivers a full set of his popular originals.
